Essentially, a garden room is an outdoor room; it has walls, a floor and a ceiling just like an indoor room. I believe garden rooms are most effective when they're connected to major living spaces -- like your living room or breakfast room. Your question prompted me to write an article showing how a garden room dramatically expands a home's sense of space and light. I'll publish it later today.

Thanks for the question; sometimes I take for granted that others know what I know.

Hi Jackie,

I am confused by the sentence in your article which states "There are garden rooms on 4 sides of the house
furthering the expansive feel of the small house." I am not familiar with this term. Can you please explain what a "garden room" is?

Thanks
