Jackie Braitman - Artist & Sculptor
Architectural Designer & General Contractor |
| As an exhibiting artist and sculptor, Jackie brings a higher level of
creativity to design than many other home designers.
In fact, she describes the differences between architectural design and
sculpture as one of scale and technical requirement. |
| "With both glass sculpture and architecture I work with
space and light to evoke emotion. With sculpture, I work in
isolation to explore concepts and relationships. My audience
is potentially large but unknown. The technical challenges
are in the execution. In many ways, architectural design is
sculpture on a larger scale where a smaller, known audience
experiences the sculpture intimately from within and without
and over time periods of days, weeks, and years." |

Still Grounded in The Practical Demands of Building |
| As one of our clients says: Jackie is the only individual he's
ever worked with who seems to have equal facility and grounding with
right-brain and left-brain tasks. |
| Because Jackie approaches each remodeling task as a sculptor, the
entirety of rooms
and spaces are treated like a single sculpture resulting in a unified
result where all spaces feel linked to each other and appropriate in size and
volume.
|
| And because she also approaches each project as a General Contractor who must
meet stringent structural demands, the remodels and additions also feel
stable, secure, comfortable and efficient. |
