I agreed to go ahead with design.
I drew one conceptual plan as requested and another plan
that included an excavated double patio door as a new
entrance to the basement. This plan worked off
their desire for extensive new outdoor living in the
back. The 2nd plan yields significantly more light
and sense of spaciousness and an elegant egress
solution. They've decided to go forward with the
2nd design. The message is that, even if you
can't conceive of the solution, give a good designer the
chance to work through the perceived barriers with a
cost-effective, thoughtful design. |
